  • The point is subject to the effects of a tidal race a little further out.

Historical Information:

  • Owned by the Merchant Trading Company of Liverpool, she grossed 1,380 tons.
  • Bound San Francisco for Liverpool, she struck rocks below Hook Tower during a gale.
  • Her cargo was wheat, 200 tons copper and silver ore, and walrus tusks.
